Sergio joined RPIA in 2016 as a Portfolio Analyst, then moved onto the role of Manager of Risk and Analytics, and is currently the Director of Risk and Analytics. Sergio's responsibilities include identifying the impact of potential trades on the portfolio's risk and determining risk tolerance levels for the firm's strategies. Earlier in his career, Sergio was a Quantitative Risk Analyst for Sura Asset Management, one of the leading asset managers in Latin America.
Sergio has a Master of Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and is a CFA charterholder. Sergio is an avid sports player; he enjoys playing soccer in his free time and spending time with his family.
