Associate, Accounting
Full Time | Toronto
Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations: Performs day-to-day accounting functions, recording financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Budgeting Support: Supports the budgeting process by gathering and organizing departmental data and preparing variance reports.
- Treasury and Cash Flow Management: Supports cash flow tracking and treasury operations by preparing reports and monitoring daily balances.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Contributes to the development and documentation of internal control processes. Supports the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly compliance reporting (e.g., OSC, Statistics Canada).
- Systems & Process Improvement: Assists with data entry and system updates in Oracle NetSuite and contributes to ongoing systems and process improvement initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates with various departments, such as Operations and Compliance, to ensure accurate financial data flow.

- Technical Knowledge – Strong technical knowledge of accounting, proven with experience within financial services.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- One (1) to three (3) years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
- Progress toward CPA designation is an asset.
- Understanding of GAAP and accounting standards.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite or other ERP systems is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
