Alex is Chief Risk Officer of RPIA and Chair of the firm’s Risk Committee and serves on the Investment Committee. As CRO, he works closely with the CIOs on capital allocation and portfolio hedging decisions. Alex is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee where his primary focus is firm strategy and enterprise risk management.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in trading, business strategy, and risk management to the firm. Prior to joining RPIA, Alex spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he held senior roles across fixed income and credit derivatives. He led the firm’s municipal bond proprietary trading desk and later managed its High Yield and Long-Term Municipal trading businesses. He also led market structure strategy for Goldman’s Global Credit business and subsequently headed the Counterparty Risk Management and Market Transition teams globally within the firm’s Risk Management division.
