Featuring more than 500 original artifacts, Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away. examines the history and legacy of the Auschwitz camp complex, which is today the most recognizable symbol of the Holocaust, the political and social landscape that allowed the Holocaust to happen, and the nature and day-to-day functioning of the Auschwitz camp itself. First-hand survivor accounts, historical documentation, photographs, and more create a powerful connection to the objects on display.
