Associate, Institutional Solutions

Responsibilities
- Institutional Business Development Support
- Partner with senior Institutional Sales professionals to support business development efforts across pensions, endowments, foundations, consultants, and other institutional investor types across Canada.
- Use publicly available information, third party databases, and financial statements to identify prospective entities, updated key contacts, and contact information.
- As applicable, cross reference existing direct clients with any institutional Board/Committee work.
- Develop outreach strategy to increase chance of a positive response, track responses and manage follow ups.
- Propose and co-ordinate creative prospect engagement events, activities, or roadshows.
- Pre- and Post-meeting Support
- Conduct detailed research on prospective clients, including asset allocation structure, manager lineups, funding status, governance model, and consultant relationships.
- Prepare customized pitch materials, investment proposals, and portfolio analytics tailored to institutional mandates.
- Drive timely and thorough post-meeting follow-up and additional due diligence requests.
- Maintain momentum on active opportunities by tracking next steps, coordinating deliverables, and supporting mandate progression through funding.
- Pipeline Management & Client Relationship Management
- Maintain accurate records of institutional prospects, client interactions, and sales pipeline within Salesforce (CRM).
- Develop relationships with Analyst-level contacts at institutional funds and consulting firms
- Analyze sales activity and pipeline metrics to support territory strategy and areas of focus.

Accountability & Ownership – Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and follows through on commitments with a high degree of professionalism.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in institutional sales support, asset management, investment consulting, or a related financial services role.
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets and institutional investment structures.
- Progress toward or completion of CFA, CIM, or other relevant industry designation is preferred.
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.
